The rather flat community Campos is located on the south coast of Mallorca, on a stretch of coast that from the place Sa Ràpita in the west until it reaches Arenes behind the long sandy beach of Es Trenc in the southeast.

 

The eponymous capital of the municipality is located about nine kilometers from the coast on the road from Palma to the holiday areas on the east coast (Cala d'Or, Cala Figuera).

The distance from Campos to Palma is about 35 kilometers.

 

Neighbor communities

In the east, the municipalities border Felanitx, Santanyí and Ses Salines to the municipality of Campos. They belong as well as the west adjacent community Llucmajor and Campos itself to the region Migjorn. To the north, the region of Pla de Mallorca with the municipality of Porreres borders the area of ​​Campos.

 

Campos was founded around the 13th century by the legendary King Jaume II. Many buildings in Campos are already very old and lovingly restored. In the village you can still find some palaces and parts of the historic fortress. Campos del Puerto has about 7,000 inhabitants who live mainly from tourism. On a visit, you should end the night in one of the numerous pubs.

Es Trenc
